Live Event Production & Rental Company

We (Spinal Injuries Association) worked with Makin Lightin on our annual fundraising dinner, the most important fundraising event of the year. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Jonny, he interpreted exactly what we needed and delivered an event that far exceeded our expectations. His professionalism, attention to detail and willingness go above and beyond for us helped ensure it was one of our most successful dinners ever – thank you! Laura Griffiths - Events Coordinator, Spinal Injuries Association

Makin Lightin is an invaluable service provider and absolutely vital for us to continue the standard of work we pride ourselves on. All technical aspects are covered by the team at Makin Lightin who go above and beyond to ensure we are supported. Their professional knowledge and ability to adapt and work outside the box allows us to realise our vision. Nothing is too much trouble and we are indebted to them. We would not be able to stage the shows without them and would not ever entertain the idea of doing so, no Makin Lightin, no show. Thank you so much, long may the relationship continue.Anne Markland - Founder, St. Oswald's Dramatists

Jonny and his team are brilliant! We regularly hire equipment and utilise their team of freelancers for both indoor and outdoor events. I am a regular director at Chorley Little Theatre and the current Head of Artistic. We have used Makin Lightin on many occasions for our lighting needs. Jonathan always provides a professional service ensuring that we get the equipment on time and in perfect working order. It is also always provided at a competitive cost. What makes this company special is that Jonathan is also a designer who always takes time to understand the production and working space. Therefore always provides suitable and accurate solutions. I would highly recommend this company.Mark Jones, Head of Artistic, Chorley Little Theatre

We recently had the team from Makin Lightin involved in our dance show. We wanted to create new lighting concepts, special effects and the team didn’t disappoint. The whole dance show looked fabulous start to finish with the team not only creating mesmerising effects on stage enhancing every child’s performance but they wired up the whole stage for sound and operated our slide show perfectly in sync with the lights. It really made a huge difference to our show and it was all done quickly, efficiently and with a high degree of professionalism. I wouldn’t hesitate to use the company again and will be recommending with very high regard.Katie Payne, Principal, Ktz Dance

We have worked with Makin for a school drama production and subsequently, for our GCSE Presentation Evening. Jonathan and his team have been great to work with from the first minute. Makin ensured that we were able to achieve the environment we hoped for, offering us lots of helpful advice on how to maximise the staging of the space available, which all came together to produce brilliant nights for our pupils, parents and staff. Thank you! Corpus Christi Catholic High School, Preston
