The team at PAS were asked to provide full production to the event and got us involved to look after all things lighting. The event was a great success showcasing some of the events happening in Bradford in the next 12 months. There was also a live link up to @bbctheoneshow
We worked our last show SODs at the weekend 😢 We worked our last show SODs at the weekend 😢 SODs have been a “day one” customer of Makin Lightin, being there at the beginning when I was operating out of my garage at home. But after 30 years of SODs Anne and Trev have taken the hard decision to close its doors. Transforming a church hall into a theatrical space hasn’t been the easiest but It’s been great fun!! We opted to add the DPack plugin on our Avantis. #ThrowbackThursday Only throwing it back to a we #ThrowbackThursday Only throwing it back to a week ago today when we were, once again, back with @spinal_injuries for their annual Cornflower Ball. A special one this year as the charity is celebrating its 50th year supporting people with a spinal cord injury. With it being a milestone year they decided to move the event to a much bigger venue. The Point at Emirates Old Trafford. The event saw over 750 guests enjoying a night of food & drink, fundraising and dancing. For us, a bigger venue meant more kit!! Providing full production, we put in 20 rigging points and around 90 metres of truss. 40 lighting fixtures, including our @robelighting T1’s and Spiiders. It was also the first job for our BRAND NEW @nexosound PA, and we used all of our Geo M10 line array as well as our P12 point source boxes. All powered from our new NXAMP4x2 amplifiers. For the video screens we deployed our @panasonicuk PT-RZ120 projector with fast fold screen and we were able to patch into the in house projectors as well. This year we also provided a live feed camera. All controlled by our @blackmagicnewsofficial control rack. A HUGE thanks to my team for working so hard as always. It wasn’t just audio kit we got in our delivery It wasn’t just audio kit we got in our delivery the other day… We are pleased to announce that Makin Lightin is the first UK rental company to be stocking the new @prolights.it EclPar IPMFC This single source LED par will be added to our rental stock and will start to replace our conventional tungsten generic fixtures. This means eventually all of the lighting fixtures on our hire stock will be LED. Making us more sustainable and energy efficient. The EclPar is also fully waterproof with an IP65 rating. Which makes it the perfect addition to our existing outdoor fixture stock.
